Department of Scientific and Methodological Chemistry

Established in 2021, the Department of Scientific and Methodological Chemistry at Chirchik State Pedagogical University focuses on developing innovative teaching methods for chemistry and conducting cutting-edge research. Its key areas include the synthesis and study of ion-exchange materials from local polymers, promoting sustainable development in chemistry education, and fostering an innovative pedagogical cluster. The department also hosts scientific councils for doctoral defenses and actively engages in international collaborations and student development initiatives.

DEPARTMENT OF SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY

The Department of Scientific and Methodological Chemistry was established in the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry under the name "Scientific and Methodological Chemistry," in accordance with the extended decision No. 01-215 of the Council of the Tashkent Region Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute, adopted on August 23, 2021.

Department Goals and Objectives

The following are identified as priority scientific directions for the development of scientific research activities and the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel at the Department of Scientific and Methodological Chemistry of Chirchik State Pedagogical University:

Obtaining ion-exchange materials based on local natural and synthetic polymers and their physicochemical properties: This direction focuses on synthesizing new types of ion-exchange materials using local resources and thoroughly studying their properties.
Developing sustainable development concepts in chemistry education: Researching methods for applying sustainable development principles in chemistry education and integrating these concepts into the educational process.
Innovative cluster of pedagogical education: Developing an innovative cluster approach in the educational process and improving the quality of pedagogical staff training by strengthening cooperation between higher education, schools, and industry.

Scientific Councils at the Department of Scientific and Methodological Chemistry

Based on the Department of Scientific and Methodological Chemistry, a scientific council for awarding academic degrees operates at Chirchik State Pedagogical University, namely DSc.03/30.09.2020.K.82.02, for the specialty 02.00.06 - "High Molecular Compounds" (chemical sciences). Dozens of researchers defend their scientific work in this council.

Additionally, a scientific council also operates at Chirchik State Pedagogical University for awarding academic degrees, specifically PhD.28.03.2019.Ped.82.01, for the specialty 13.00.02 – "Theory and Methodology of Education and Upbringing (mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry)." Researchers also defend their scientific work in this council.

Student Activities and Projects

Subject Olympiads are held annually among school graduates.

International Cooperation and Academic Exchange Programs

The Department of Scientific and Methodological Chemistry actively cooperates with international universities. Several professors, teachers, and students have achieved international-level results:

12 students from the individualized learning program received student certificates.
Students from group 23/4, with the help of Eshchanov R., compared and analyzed school chemistry textbooks.
Munira Erkinova, a student from group 21/2, participated in the "Best Chemical Analysis Laboratory Assistant of the Society" competition organized by the management of Maxam-Chirchik JSC and won 1st place. She received a referral to the national stage.
As a result of international teacher training conducted by Khushvaktov S., 2 students received Cambridge International Teacher Certificates after a 4-week study for Cambridge IGCSE (A-level).
