This monograph examines the genesis and development of the famous oriental fairy tale "Farhad and Shirin" using the example of Uzbek and Turkish folklore; the main objective is to reveal how Fazil Yuldash oglu, under the influence of the epics of Alisher Navoi “Farkhod and Shirin” and Nizami Ganjavi “Khusrav and Shirin”, managed to create a unique love story, mixing some events from the plots of the two works, enriching them with new motives and characters.
