History and Development of the Department The Department of Linguistics and English Language Teaching Methodology was established as the Department of "Foreign Languages" within the Faculty of "Humanities" according to Decision No. 1 of the Council of Chirchiq State Pedagogical Institute of Tashkent region on August 28, 2019. In accordance with Protocol No. 1 dated August 23, 2021, it was transferred to the Faculty of "Tourism" as the "English Language" Department. Finally, according to Protocol No. 5 dated October 27, 2023, it separated as an independent department under the name "Department of Linguistics and English Language Teaching Methodology." Currently, the department employs 17 professors and teachers, including 9 full-time, 5 internal part-time, and 3 external part-time staff. Among them are 1 professor, 3 associate professors, and 3 senior lecturers. The department is headed by Dr. (PhD in Pedagogical Sciences), Associate Professor Yusupova Mukhabbat Anatolevna.

Mission and Objectives of the Department The mission of the department is to create the image of a future English language teacher in the educational landscape. The strategic goal of the department is to train personnel who can meet international standards and be competitive in the global arena.

  • 60110900 – Foreign Language and Literature (English Language) This bachelor's program is aimed at in-depth study of modern linguistics, translation studies, and English language teaching methodology. Students not only master language skills perfectly but also gain extensive knowledge of English literature, culture, and translation practice.

The program covers foreign language teaching methodology, scientific research methods, and a profession-oriented approach.
